WHAT OTHERS SAY
Hello, I'm Alicia
I’m a professional pianist and passionate educator with over 10 years experience teaching the piano. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with pianists of all ages, from budding young players, to adult pianists eager to refine their skills and take their playing to the next level.
In my solo career, I have performed in venues such as The Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre, St John’s Smith Square, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, as well as touring across the UK. I have also given several concerto performances with orchestra including Grieg’s Piano Concerto and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5.

I obtained my Artist Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where I was awarded a postgraduate scholarship to study with renowned concert pianist Gabriele Baldocci. I previously studied with Nigel Clayton at The Royal College of Music whilst undertaking a music degree at Royal Holloway, University of London.

What's it like to learn with me?
Piano Lessons For All Levels
I welcome new inquiries from enthusiastic beginners who are committed to learning the piano, and I particularly enjoy working with intermediate to advanced pianists (Grade 3+) helping them refine their technical skills, enhance their musical interpretation, learn new practice methods, and develop a more expressive approach to their playing.
Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn the piano, or perhaps you're working on a Chopin nocturne and want some expert guidance? I’m here to help you overcome obstacles and build (or re-build) your confidence.
Lessons for Adults, Teenagers and Children (Aged 7+)
For adult students, I understand the challenges of learning an instrument while balancing work, family, and other commitments. Lessons are designed to be supportive, flexible, and tailored to your goals — whether that’s playing for pleasure, returning to the piano after a break, or preparing for a performance.
For younger players, I take an engaging approach that blends core curriculum repertoire with popular songs that spark interest and keep motivation high. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have experience creating a positive, encouraging environment for young people.

More Than Just Lessons
Some of my students take part in concerts, festivals, and grade exams; others simply enjoy learning the piano for themselves. What’s most important to me is nurturing a life-long love of music in my students, and helping them grow into confident and expressive pianists.
